4000 MILES Continues The Rep's 2012-2013 Studio Theatre Series

The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (The Rep) continues its 2012-2013 Studio Theatre series with the funny and moving drama 4000 Miles by Amy Herzog. This heartfelt production will be performed in the Emerson Studio Theatre at the Loretto-Hilton Center for the Performing Arts, 130 Edgar Road (on the campus of Webster University), Webster Groves, January 16-February 3, 2013.

Curtain times are Tuesday at 7 pm; Wednesday-Friday at 8 pm; Saturday evenings at 5 pm; selected Saturday nights at 9 pm; Sunday matinees at 2 pm and Sunday evenings at 7 pm.

Ticket prices are $39 (previews), $47 (weeknights, Saturdays at 9 p.m. and Sundays) and $60 (Fridays at 8 p.m. and Saturdays at 5 p.m.). Leo biked for a month from Seattle to New York, but it's a small Greenwich Village apartment where his real journey begins. Reeling from a tragedy, the rudderless twenty-something arrives at the doorstep of his 91 year-old grandmother Vera, an old lefty navigating the rough waters of aging. Together, these two outsiders find their way in one of this year's most touching new plays.

4000 Miles premiered in June 2011 at the Duke on 42nd Street as a part of Lincoln Center Theater's LCT3 programming initiative.

The cast of 4000 Miles at The Rep is Rita Gardner as Vera, Lisa Helmi Johanson as Amanda, Dan McCabe (last seen in The Lieutenant of Inishmore) as Leo and Katie McClellan (last seen in Over the Tavern) as Bec.

The Rep's production of 4000 Miles is directed by Jane Page (Rabbit Hole).

The creative staff also includes Robert Mark Morgan, set designer; Jason Orlenko, costume designer; John Wylie, lighting designer; Rusty Wandall, sound designer; and Emilee Buchheit, stage manager.
