Arts and Education Council Announces New Creative Communications and Design Associate

The Arts and Education Council is pleased to announce the addition of Stephen Siwinski as Creative Communications and Design Associate. He began his duties on November 12.

In his new role, Stephen will be responsible for the aesthetic and artistic branding of A&E's many publications and philanthropic efforts.

Stephen graduated with a B.A. in Television Writing and Producing from Columbia College Chicago in 2006. Prior to relocating to St. Louis, he worked as deputy director of creative and social media for the Missouri Office of the Secretary of State. He was responsible for the design and implementation of educational and promotional materials for the Missouri State Archives, Wolfner Library for the Blind and Physically Impaired, Missouri Securities Division and the Missouri Elections Division. His use of emerging media technologies and platforms informed, engaged and educated more than five million of Missouri's citizens through the production of informational videos, brochures, flyers, posters, photographs and social media updates.

Siwinski's background in not-for-profit communications was fostered at the nation's third largest public television station, WTTW Chicago, where he served as associate producer for the Emmy Award-winning restaurant review series Check, Please! He also had the opportunity to work with countless musical and cultural icons through his roles with the station's musical series Legends of Jazz with Ramsey Lewis and Soundstage.

"The addition of Steve to our staff provides A&E with innumerable opportunities to creatively communicate with our various constituencies and we are thrilled that he has joined us," stated Cynthia A. Prost, president of the Arts and Education Council.

"I'm eager to bring my skill set to the Arts and Education Council and look forward to collaborating with the nearly 70 arts and arts education organizations that we support to spread the message of A&E's tremendous impact on the community," stated Siwinski. "The buzz around A&E's 50th Anniversary makes for an exciting time to be part of all the action."

Although Stephen is new to the area, he looks forward to keeping art happening by attending local film, music and jazz events and getting to know St. Louis through the exploration of the city's growing culinary arts scene.
