Cast of WICKED to Host Benefit for STAGES and BC/EFA,

The National Touring Company of WICKED will host A WICKED WONDERLAND at the Sheldon Concert Hall (3648 Washington Blvd.) in St. Louis, MO on Monday, December 17, 2012. The performance will begin at 7pm with VIP reception to follow. The event will feature the company of WICKED, and net proceeds will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and STAGES ST. LOUIS.

A WICKED WONDERLAND is part of an ongoing series of performances by the touring company to support charitable causes which advance WICKED’s theme of acceptance and illuminate the musical’s message that people should not be judged on first impressions. The company believes that in these divisive times we must come together to support those in need throughout the country and around the world. In its seven years on the road, the company has raised over $2 million in donations for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and local AIDS service organizations all over the country. Produced by company members, the evening is an opportunity for them to step out of their roles in the musical and kick up their heels performing some of their favorite non-Ozian and, in this case, holiday material.

General admission to A WICKED WONDERLAND is a $50 donation. VIP admission is a $100 donation and includes a meet-and-greet reception and silent auction after the performance. There will also be a student/actor discount for purchase at the door the day of the show. All proceeds benefit BC/EFA and STAGES ST. LOUIS, and admission donations are tax deductible. In addition to the performance, there will be live and silent auctions including several opportunities to join the company backstage at THE FABULOUS FOX THEATRE.

-A backstage tour and opportunity to watch the “Greening of Elphaba” complete with 2 house seats for a weekend performance of WICKED.

-A chance to ride in Glinda's bubble, a backstage tour, as well as 2 house seats for a weekend performance of WICKED.

-An opportunity to win a walk-on role in an actual performance of WICKED. This also includes a backstage tour, a costume fitting, and 2 house seats for your friends and family to come see you on stage in WICKED!

Performances of WICKED at the Fox Theatre run December 12, 2012 through January 6, 2013. Performances are Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 8:00pm; Sunday evenings at 6:30pm; Saturday matinees at 2:00pm and Sunday matinees at 1:00pm.
