ELVIS LIVES at the Peabody Auditorium March 30, 2012

On Stage Touring, LLC, in association with Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc., announced today an expanded tour schedule for the new theatrical concert experience ELVIS LIVES "The Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Event."

The show will be in St. Louis, MO on March 30th, 2012 at the Peabody Opera House. The addition of eight new engagements brings the upcoming tour to 29 markets, with planning for the next tour season already underway.  Due to the strong demand for tickets to the current tour and from many new markets eager to host a future engagement of ELVIS LIVES, On Stage has retained Columbia Artists Theatricals to further develop and expand the market for the tour.

Capitalizing on the rave reviews of its initial debut as "The Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Tour" in 2010, the touring production has been enhanced to capture the imaginations and interests of all types of fans including Broadway, concert and Elvis aficionados.    The nationwide tour kicks off in Morganton, N.C., on January 14.  Subscription and single tickets are now on sale for all tour engagements. For more information visit: www.ELVISLIVESTOUR.com.

ELVIS LIVES is a multi-media and live musical journey across Elvis' life featuring four finalists from Elvis Presley Enterprises' annual worldwide Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest.  The cast members include Bill Cherry, Ben Klein, Kevin Mills and Victor Trevino, Jr., each representing Elvis during different stages in his career.  The Elvis tribute artists will be joined by a live band, back-up singers, dancers, along with an Ann-Margret tribute artist, as well as iconic imagery made available from the Graceland archives.

"We are delighted with the response received thus far for the upcoming tour cycle.  Retaining Columbia Artists Theatricals as our booking agency will strengthen the tour's future success, and we are thrilled to have four of the top Elvis Tribute Artists in the world featured in our cast," said Brian Brigner, Chief Operating Officer of On Stage Touring, the tour's producers.   "The production showcases each performer portraying Elvis in one of four eras: the 1950s, 1960s, his movie career and his concert years, so it is the complete musical package.

"We are excited that the tour is being expanded to give even more Elvis fans the opportunity to see these talented entertainers.  It's great to see four of the finalists from The Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest starring in ELVIS LIVES," said Scott Williams, Vice President of Marketing for Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc.

"We have been following the booking and the buzz about ELVIS LIVES for some time," said Gary McAvay, President of Columbia Artists Theatricals.  "CAT is very pleased to have been selected to represent this exciting new project and looks forward to adding new markets as well as developing a 'repeat engagement' cycle for those markets that are currently scheduled.

LIVE UPDATE: KINKY BOOTS vs. MATILDA for Best Musical and More...

Chris GibsonChris has been active in the local theatre scene for over 30 years. In addition to his acting work, he's also contributed as a director, writer and composer. Though, initially a film buff, he grew tired of the sanitized, PG-13 rated blockbusters that were being continually shoved down his throat by the studios. An opportunity to review theatre in St. Louis has grown exponentially with the sudden explosion of venues and talent in the region. He now finds himself obsessed with witnessing those precious, electric moments that can only happen live, on stage.
