Take Two Productions is the first non-professional community theatre group in the St. Louis area to present RENT. This Pulitzer Prize-winning, Broadway musical is based loosely on Puccini's opera "La Bohème." It follows a year in the lives of seven friends living the disappearing Bohemian lifestyle in New York's East Village.

Book, music and lyrics by Jonathan Larson. Musical arrangements by Steve Skinner. Original concept/additional lyrics by Billy Aronson. Music supervision and additional arrangements by Tim Weil. Dramaturg Lynn Thomson. RENT was originally produced in New York by New York Theatre Workshop and on Broadway by Jeffrey Seller, Kevin McCollum, Allan S. Gordon and New York Theatre Workshop.

Tickets are now on sale! Visit https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/69580.

Friday, August 7 and 14 at 7:30pm
Saturday, August 8 and 15 at 2 and 7:30pm

Tower Grove Abbey, 2336 Tennesseee Ave., St. Louis, MO 63104.

Tickets are $15 for general admission and $13 for seniors 65 and over/students 15 and under. Tickets are available through Brown Paper Tickets. All tickets are general seating. Doors open 30 minutes prior to performance.

Production proceeds to benefit Saint Louis Effort for AIDS. Canned food items will be collected at all performances to benefit Food Outreach.

RENT is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).
