The August 4, 2016 show of Broadway in Bryant Park included a performance by the Broadway cast of An American in Paris. Cast members for the event included Dimitri Kleioris, Leanne Cope, Jill Paice, Brandon Uranowitz, Derek Hanson, Attila Joey Csiki, Kyle Brown, Megan Dickinson, Kurt Froman, Derek Hanson, Marina Lazzaretto, Cory Lingner, Nathan Madden, Charlotte O'Dowd, Candy Olsen, Kristin Piro, Sam Rogers, Shannon Rugani, Bradley Schlagheck, Jeffrey C. Sousa, Tory Trowbridge and Scott Willis performing the numbers 'Shall We Dance,' 'For You, For Me, For Evermore,' 'I'll Build a Stairway to Paradise,' and 'S Wonderful.'

The company of Fun Home was runner-up for turning West Side Story's 'Gee Officer Krumpkee!' into a plea to Miranda to write a show for them. But they ultimately realized that they could control their own destinies by creating roles for themselves, just as Miranda has done. Watch their full performance below!

The 30th annual Easter Bonnet Competition, celebrating six weeks of fundraising by 58 Broadway, Off-Broadway and national touring companies, raised a record-shattering $5,528,568 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, the largest grand total from either an Easter Bonnet Competition or Gypsy of the Year fundraising campaign in Broadway Cares history. The show featured a surprise performance by rock legend Stevie Nicks, two top awards to Lin-Manuel Miranda and the cast of Hamilton, and more than 230 of the best actors, singers and dancers in New York. The national tour of the Tony Award Nominated Best Revival of a Musical and smash hit production of Tim Rice's and Andrew Lloyd Webber's EVITA kicks off on September 8th at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Providence, RI. The national tour of EVITA will star Caroline Bowman (Kinky Boots) as Eva Peron, Tony nominated Josh Young (Jesus Christ Superstar) as Che and Sean MacLaughlin (Woman in White) as Juan Peron. The cast also features Desi Oakley as the alternate for Eva, Christopher Johnstone as Magaldi and Krystina Alabado as the Mistress.
